This Redbox ad campaign is for college students to return to the movie watching that is currently missing, which is finding the perfect movie with your friends while spending a meaningful movie night with them. With Redbox On Demand, sharing your experience with others is what makes movie nights ones to remember.

Redbox On Campus

With the Redbox On Campus app, college students from all over the country are able to share their thoughts on films, acting, scores, and even alternate endings. They are able to share through their campus and other campuses as well. Redbox On Campus easily makes students become more a part of the movie-loving college community.

Redbox + Dominos

The perfect combination for a movie night is movies and pizza. Redbox teaming up with Domino’s would solidify the message that renting movies goes hand in hand with ordering a pizza, providing the perfect movie night experience with you and your friends. In addition to celebrating the movie night, a free movie download will be offered when one shares their movie night experience through social media.

Magazine Ads

To promote the movie night experience, showing the wide selection of movies from Redbox On Demand conveys the easiness of finding the perfect movie. Iconic scenes from classic blockbuster films are shown in each ad, encouraging one to have a movie night with people you care about and not just by yourself.

Pop Up Movie Night

Having a movie night can be as simple as watching with your friends in a living room. A pop up shop in a living room setting would show how simple and easy it is to make a movie night special. Additional locations would include malls and airports.

Movies In the Park

Along with the pop up shop setting, the movie night experience transfers to an outdoor setting with “Movies In the Park,” an event held in major cities and campuses across the country that brings people together through the magic of movies.

Augmented Reality

With augmented reality, the love of iconic movies is pushed even further by showing trivia from each movie when viewing each icon with your smart phone.

Commercial

How can one not watch a movie without making popcorn first? The commercial for Redbox On Demand focuses on how the process for making popcorn and iconic movie scores can go hand in hand. By using the Star Wars theme, “Dual of the Fates,” the popcorn and movie experience become one essential combination.
